About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Merchandising Department as a Merchandising Admin Assistant on a 12 month FTC.
The Role & Responsibilities Include:
- Support the Merchandising team with performance and data analysis using Shark, excel and other MIS sources to produce analysis such as seasonal performance by category, sub-category, channel, brand, style including sizing
- Understand the reasons behind the performance, know your best and worst sellers. Review performance at line, category & department level each week – identify issues and opportunities and suggest actions
- Liaise with branch merchandising colleagues to ensure stock issues are shared and appropriate decisions taken to protect scarce stock and deal with poor performance
- Maintain a commercial and customer focus in all activities and decisions
- Demonstrate an understanding of the schuh customer and expectations they have when shopping with us
- Ensure clarity of understanding of the vision and strategy of the business as a whole, and in particular for your specific product area of responsibility
The Person:
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Competent user of advanced excel, confident in use of data and standard retail systems
- Excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Awareness of retail industry and competition within sector

- Is self-motivated to achieve

- Demonstrates a focus on finding solutions and improvements which add value to customers and the overall business
- Build strong relationships with the wider team including merchandising, buying, eCommerce, marketing, store managers, logistics
